How Vedicca London Started
Vedicca was started in November 2012, by a handful of founding members with a shared vision of giving the elderly and the retired, a platform to enjoy the fruits of their hard work in their golden years. Jalsa Dosti club joined with Vedicca in 2019, and officially merged in 2022 with a new management team. Our name, Vedicca, represents the following which aptly explain our values and aims:

Our first program was held at the Grand Union Village Hall in Northolt. Today, we meet every week on Wednesdays from 11.30a.m. (Check our calendar for more details). Recipients of many Harrow Heroes awards. Leaders of different political parties have paid tribute to Vedicca London at its various functions, highly appreciating the work it does. Today our membership is much sought after especially given the personal interest we take in the wellbeing of each member.
Our Mission
The main objective of our charity is to establish a community centre to hold social, cultural and spiritual activities to meet the needs of its members. The aim is to provide activities that:
- Promote and manage physical health, by provision of advice on health-related matters and through the ancient practice of yoga.
- Foster and raise awareness of positive mental health and well-being.
- Encourage constructive discussions and workshops for the promotion of the Vedic way of living.
- Cultivate inclusion of all members.
What We Do
We aim to provide access to a range of services including networking and recreational activities in the interest of social welfare that meet individual and collective needs.
Our group discussions and ‘opportunity knock’ activities are planned to encourage all members to participate, as we firmly believe everyone has their gift of experiences to share and many talents to showcase and yet to discover.
Skilled & certified professionals provide services to support members on their holistic health journey. Members are entertained by professional musicians and dancers especially on festive occasions.
The executive committee regularly checks in to ensure no member feels isolated or lonely. Social trips and outings are planned taking into account the needs of the members. Ideas, customs, traditions and suggestions are all respected and welcomed in our family.
